Daksha's Gourmet Spices

Bhaskar and Daksha’s ancestry is from Gujarat and Rajesthan in India, although both were born and raised in Africa.

From Africa, Daksha moved to England and Bhaskar moved to Canada. They met in England and had a whirlwind romance and got married in 1984 and settled in Williams Lake, British Columbia where their 3 children were born. Once their children moved away to University, they moved to Victoria BC, to live and grow their business.

Paradise Island Foods

Where It Began

Since 1978, Paradise Island Foods has strived to make various food products more accessible to Vancouver Island residents. While accessibility remains a priority, our focus has shifted to providing natural and organic dairy options in response to our customer’s evolving needs.

Paradise Island takes pride in—and inspiration from—the tranquil pace and environmentally progressive nature of Vancouver Island and its residents.

Eugene's Greek Food

About Eugene's

The founder of Eugene's Greek Restaurant, Evgeni (Eugene) Vassiliadis arrived in Victoria from his home in the bustling port of Piraeus (outside of Athens) with wife Paschalina (Lina) and two young sons, Elefterios (Terry) and Pantelis (Lee) in November 1974.  Only nine-year old Terry understood English and was able to help other family members to settle in.

From the very beginning Eugene had a vision to open a traditional Greek Souvlaki Snack Bar in Victoria.  However, having arrived in Victoria with only 2 suitcases and a trunk, Eugene began working as a brick-layer, his trade in Greece, in order to support his young family.

Island Farms

Quality Close To Home.

From our first horse-and-buggy stocked with milk bottles back in 1944, Island Farms has built a reputation for good things from good people close by.

Though we’ve grown and changed over the years, our commitment to producing top quality dairy products has never wavered. As part of the Agropur family, the largest dairy co-operative in Canada, we now deliver more than 600 fresh dairy products to families throughout British Columbia.

It's good to know that we’re more than a supplier of nutritious, delicious foods. We are proud to play an active role in the communities we serve by sponsoring numerous family events and charitable programs. Because at the end of the day, we’ve all got a family to come home to.
